What's the Point of a Holiday Card?
I grew up in a family where sending Christmas cards was a big deal, and it became one of the traditions I've carried with me into my own family. I have found several lovely reasons why we all should send them out, even if you aren't interested in coming up with your own holiday card design each year (notice I did not say "unable to").
- TRADITION. As I mentioned, I've loved carrying on this tradition of card-sending that my parents did throughout my childhood and beyond. Do you love the holidays and sharing your spirit with others? Start a new tradition if you did not grow up in a card-centric home.
- DECLARATION. What a beautiful way to share your beliefs during the most magical season of the year--whether you are celebrating the birth of Jesus, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or another visit from good old Santa.
- CONNECTION. Most of all, I have found holiday cards to be a tool for reaching out to those you've lost touch with, don't see real often, or those who could use something happy in their mailbox (ie. which is everyone).
And to kick off the holiday season, the Creative Farm Girl has developed two new cards

just for you. Printed on that heavy linen-type cardstock that will have everyone displaying them through the holidays and beyond, these cards represent what I love about the holidays.

They will be available for sale in boxed sets on 10.30.25, along with my holiday classics. Of course, no card launch is complete without a free gift--to be announced next week
Ok . . . let's do this.

Love the blog. Love the new cards. Are they single cards like a postcard or do they open up to write inside?
